Hailed by top music critic Anthony Tommasini from the New York Times as “intensely expressive”, the acclaimed Chinese soprano Fang Tao Jiang, made her sensational US debut at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium as soprano soloist in John Rutter's Requiem. A winner of Bellini International Vocal Competition, Ms.Jiang has collaborated as leading role and soloist with opera companies, orchestras and music festivals around the world including L'Opéra National de Bordeaux, Tokyo Opera, Teatro di San Carlo, Utah Festival Opera, Zurich Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Opera among others. Operatic roles include Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro; Gilda from Rigoletto; Nanetta from Falstaff; as well as Zerlina, Rosina, Juliet, Lucia, Sophie and more. Equally at home with chamber music and the recital repertoire, she has appeared as recitalist and chamber vocalist at prestigious music halls including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Wigmore Hall, Suntory Hall, NJPAC. Critics have lauded her interpretation as“sensitive and impassioned” (Wall Street Journal) “There is gold in her voice” (Classical Review). Ms. Jiang is also a sought after and devoted interpreter of contemporary music. National Opera Center featured her in its first song album. She was featured as soloist at 10 consecutive Carnegie Hall presented concert series. She is frequently featured on radio and television including WQXR, WNYC, WFMT, BBC3, CCBC. Ms. Jiang is also a sought after contemporary music interpreter. Her notable new music works include a featured National Opera Center new album "American Songbook";  Leading role collaboration with award-winning composer Huang Ruo in «Dr. Sun Yat-sun», «An American Soldier» and 《Bound》.
